‘Face To Face’ attempts to explore the aspirations behind films

The International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala is  proving to be an apt social space to find out an answer to the often repeated, yet an ever relevant question-‘What really prompts young budding filmmakers, to make a film?’  The daily Face to face programme conducted along with 8th idsffk at Kerala Pavilion near Kairali Theatre offers a platform to share the experiences of the directors, adding a personal touch to the making of their films.  Filmmakers univocally pointed that adaptations of major Literary works and people they meet in day to day life were the major resources they use to find the plot. The programme which was moderated by notable Film director K.M.Kamal was  attended by 12 aspiring filmmakers  - Abhilash S-(Scry),Anupam Barve-(So What!),Adhiraj Bose-(cafe-night),Karan Dhar (Kaansutra),Himalay Dave-(Mockart,Prosit Roy-(Bloody Moustache), Rakesh Kumar-(Shadow),Karuna Bansode-(Afternoon Lullaby),Major Sajeev K V-(The Ruffian),Harishankar K.D.-(comrade Walks on Thin Ice),Sharukh Bava-(I am Home)-Camp,Arun Sukumar-(Theiyye)
